Cold Reads, New Plays - October

New and original plays, screenplays, spoken word or other works for performance are read in an informal workshop setting. Actors are seeing the work for the first time. Actors, audience and other playwrights share feedback with the creator to further the development of these works.

This month's play, This Game Show Kills Billionaires, by Nathan Corliss, is a satirical take on the richest among us and the sometimes fatal consequences of greed, as well as the sometimes redemptive power of the game show, Ego Debt. An except of this play was read as part of Playing Around, a festival of new and original works at Forge Theater.
